Ralph Loren Janes

Ralph Loren Janes of Pulaski peacefully passed away and was welcomed into heaven on August 30, 2023. From Miami, FL, Ralph's journey led him to Pulaski, TN, where he relocated in 1981. He proudly called Pulaski home for over four decades. In 2000, following the loss of his beloved mother, he was lovingly cared for by his sister, Thelma. Ralph's presence was a true gift to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a person whose heart knew no bounds. He possessed a compassionate nature, although he held his private world close. His inner circle included cherished family members, a dear friend, and kind-hearted neighbors. Ralph's deepest love was reserved for his family, and he eagerly anticipated visits from his siblings, nephews, and nieces, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. He held a special place in his heart for his twin nephews, who once filled his home with the enchanting glow of lightning bugs. In addition to his family, Ralph held a profound love for animals, and he had many beloved furry and feathered companions over his lifetime. Ralph was a reservoir of knowledge. He served as the family's historian with an uncanny ability to recall every detail. He remembered milestones, birthdays, and anniversaries of each family member. Those Who Went Before Him… Ralph was preceded in death by his father and mother Ralph & Bette Janes, paternal grandparents Arthur & Sara Janes and maternal grandparents Locket & Lorena Robertson, maternal uncle William Dodson, 2 sisters Ollie-Ruth Janes and Darlene Marando (Tony), 3 nephews Danny Janes, Louie Marchetti, and Greg Marchetti, 2 nieces Deanna Janes, Sherry Mayberry, and Cindy Marchetti, and 1 cousin Larry Dodson. Those He Leaves Behind… Ralph's legacy lives on through the family he adored. He is survived by four brothers: Ed Janes (Carolyn), Bill Janes, Danny Janes (Jill), and John Elmer Janes, along with five sisters: Lorena Janes Whiddon (Charlie), Thelma Janes-Bassett (Mike), Freda Janes Buchanan (Mark), Truly Janes Sieli, and Bette Janes Oramas (Alex). His love extended to a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins, including nine nephews, fifteen nieces, sixteen great-nephews, nineteen great-nieces, four great-great nephews, six great-great nieces, one cousin, plus numerous 2nd-3rd-4th cousins. Ralph Loren Janes leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. In Ralph's memory, may we strive to carry on his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family. A private family gathering will be held in Pulaski prior to Ralph's final resting place in Miami's Vista Memorial Gardens.
