Clara Bell Mace

January 26, 1930 - January 22, 2021

Clara Bell Mace, 90, of Pulaski, TN formerly of Akron, OH and San Juan, TX passed away January 22, 2021 at her home. She was born January 26, 1930 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to Herman Clay and Rosetta Welsh Clay. She was a lifelong resident of the Akron, Barberton, and Norton, Ohio area until retiring in 1987. She attended Cuyahoga Falls High School and was formerly employed by the Brown Derby Restaurant chain in the accounting. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25th from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation and burial will also take place in Ohio at a later date. Clara was preceded in death by former first husband, Louis De Venture, parents, brothers, Herman Clay and William Ward, and sister, Margaret. She is survived by husband Karl, children, Della Deventuri, Daniel (Melinda) McCullough De Venture, Donald (Debbie) De Venture. Eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren. Many beloved nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pulaski, TN. Life member of the American Motorcyclists Association, life member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, the Air Force Communicators and Air Traffic controllers, Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 846, and the Canton, Ohio Motorcycle Club. She was also a former member of the Wadsworth Airmen’s Association and BMW Riders Association. Clara was an avid pilot and motorcyclist. Enjoyed bowling, square dancing, and clogg dancing.
