Obit Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home Mr. Jim Caruthers age 58 of Pulaski passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Hillside Hospital. He was a Captain in the United States Army He was an Ordained Elder and Deacon of Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Member and Sunday school teacher of First Baptist Church of Pulaski. Past President and Director of the Giles County Chamber of Commerce Past President and Board Member of the Pulaski Rotary Club Past Member of the Giles County Economic Development Board Past Member of the Giles County Leadership Class Member of the Giles County Agricultural Advisory Board Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout Board member of the American Red Cross Charter Member Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27th from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 28th at 4:00pm at First Baptist Church, Pulaski, Tn. with Dr. Doug Plumlee officiating. Burial will follow Thursday, at 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time in the Forrest Hills Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tn. with full military honors. Memorials are suggest to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Pulaski, Tn. He was preceded in death by his, father, Luther James Caruthers, Sr. He is survived by his, wife, Lynn Caruthers of Pulaski, Tn., son, Corbin Caruthers of Franklin, Tn., daughter, Peyton Caruthers of Chicago, Ill., mother, Ruth Caruthers of Chattanooga, Tn., sister, Linda Boyd and husband Ken of Chattanooga, Tn., and mother-in-law, Enid Dekle of Knoxville, Tn. Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mr. Jim Caruthers.
