Obit Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home Mr. Roger Pickett age 61 of Minor Hill, passed away Monday, September 11, 2006 in Minor Hill. He served in the Navy, was a life long farmer and the owner of Pickett & Jones Construction Company. Visitation will be 4 o'clock until 8 o'clock Tuesday at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 o'clock Wednesday in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Bro. Brandon Britton & Rev. Ray Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Minor Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father James David (Buck) Pickett He is survived by his wife, Peggy Griggs Pickett of Minor Hill. Daughter, Leslie Lee Pickett Bethune and husband Wayne of Minor Hill Mother, Vera Kieff Pickett of Minor Hill Brother, Stanley Pickett & wife Jerri of Minor Hill Sister, Sandra Gale Pickett Brownlow & husband Don of Minor Hill Aunts: Annie Ruth Jackson Blassingim of Minor Hill Rachel Williams of Minor Hill Virginia Townsend of Lester, Ala. Yvonne Sherbert of Athens, Ala Uncle - Gene Pickett of Pulaski Several nieces & nephews also survive The family suggest memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
