Obit Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home Mrs. Selma S. Abernathy of Pulaski, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007 at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a teacher at Giles County High School for 15 years and 102 years old. The family suggest memorials be made to First United Methodist Church or Giles County Public Library. She was preceded in death by her, Husband of 59 years, Wiley T. Abernathy, Jr. Parents, John G. and Sallie Stanley Swearingen Along with her brother Norman Swearingen She is survived by her, Son, Wiley T. Abernathy III and wife Joan of Pulaski Granddaughters, Joanie Abernathy of Franklin, Tn. Sallie Hood and husband Miles of Pulaski, Tn. Grandson, W. T. "Chip" Abernathy, IV and wife Leighann of Pulaski Great-Grandchildren, Abby Hill Lucy Holly and husband Brian Josh Abernathy and Alex Golden Allison, Erin and Ashley Abernathy Great-Great Grandchildren, Lily, Jaley, Hanna, Jaden and Fisher Nephew, Jack Abernathy, Jr. of Pulaski Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3rd from 4:00 until 6:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. Graveside Memorial Service will be Thursday, October 4th at 11:00am at Maplewood Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Davis officiating.
